The political memorabilia donated by Filippa Pizzi spans the years 1958-2004. In addition to political memorabilia the collection includes material pertaining to Mrs. Pizzi's personal life and memorabilia from important events held in Boston. The collection includes pamphlets, brochures, speeches, invitations, photographs, newsclippings, bags, buttons, and bumper stickers. The most extensive non-political portion of the collection includes materials from Sail Boston 2000, which Mrs. Pizzi attended. Boston was the official United States Race Port to Tall Ships 2000, a transatlantic race/ cruise that began in Europe. Some highlights of the collection include early campaign materials for the late Senator Jack Backman, ephemera from the inaugural celebrations of Governor Mitt Romney and Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healy in 2002, and a memorial card for John F. Kennedy.
